Ride Above Switzerland Challenge

An Epic Journey

This July, Oliver will take on an extraordinary cycling challenge in the Swiss Alps.  Over 16 days, he will ride some of the world’s most iconic mountain passes, climbing more than 10,000 metres of elevation*—the equivalent of ascending Mount Everest and more.  This is a demanding test of endurance, resilience, and determination. Day after day, climb after climb, Oliver will push through long distances and steep alpine terrain to complete the journey.

Oliver’s challenge is the launch of something bigger

Why This Ride Matters

But the journey is for much more.  Since diagnosis, Oliver has wanted to raise money to help other kids with diabetes.  So, for this epic journey, every vertical metre climbed will help raise funds to support young people living with Type 1 Diabetes to get involved in cycling, whatever the discipline and whatever their ability.  Oliver just wants kids to join him and Ride Above T1D.

*Oli will be only 8 years old for this ride and his physical, mental and emotional well being is our greatest priority. There is always a tow rope on offer, breaks are extremely frequent and days are designed to be short and manageable for our kids ages.  This is our 4th year in a row riding in the alps.  Our kids safety is always paramount.
